Work...

Most of the this rainy day was spent doing the wash down by the creek, luckily the sun appeared by afternoon and Mama was able to hang their bedding on the make do clothes line to dry. She then swept in and around the house, though Papa wasn't quite sure why dirt needed to be cleaned.

Papa spent the day painting! He did a lot of painting. Mama asked him for a white house with black trim, so that is what he plans on giving her.
The children decided to venture off into the wild raspberry patch and see how many they could collect. If they are lucky, Mama may make a berry pie for dessert tonight.
